Huckabee might be an unusual choice, but a logical one. Why appoint a Jew who will be accused of dual loyalty (or single loyalty - to Israel) when you can have a golem do the job perfectly fine instead.

Thank you very much for that diagnosis of what to expect from the upcoming Trump admin Joe. What an absolute dumpster fire of political leadership this is. I hate this place.

It seems likely that whoever Trump picks for foreign policy positions, that he is intent on puffing up his chest to escalate the ultimate demise of the USA, for war? Heartbreaking--I was so naive to believe he would end the wars. After reading your detailed article, and this one by Tarik Cyril Amar from RT News, reality takes over. . . Does Trump want peace and to make MAGA from within, or, is he planning to build the American hegemony, with war?

Thank you for all the hard work you put into researching and writing these amazing analysises.

I was astounded by his choices. Not even pretending to keep his promises. I think there won't even be a honeymoon, but hopefully we're wrong.

(1) perhaps this is wishful thinking, but I'm not sure if I see how expelling the gazans is feasible. Israel's invasion of lebanon has completely failed so far, so hezbollah could keep striking israel every day until they agree to pull out of gaza. I think hezbollah could strike the airport or energy infrastructure. If this continues then israel would pay a huge price for expelling the gazans.

(2) I've wondered if Erdogan's hardcore pro-palestine rhetoric could be taken up by his potential successor and turned into real policy. Erdogan recently said turkey would have no ties with israel. It seems like something that could lead to real change in the future.

It's not wishful thinking, analysts who are aware of the on the ground situation say much the same thing. Remember despite everything Hamas is as strong as its ever been, so any settlement project would be a collection of sitting ducks, a repeat of the situation that caused original Gaza pull out all those years ago

I think if Israel agreed to not target civilians, you'd be right. However, Israel could choose to just cutoff all food to gaza or kill all civilians within certain areas. I don't see how hamas can prevent this.

an impoverished Europe being flooded with more rapey riff raff... yep, it's EU dissolution time (in part). and how many of those now-free agents would like to escape the Atlanticists by joining up with Russia? Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania come to mind. Romania has bad blood with Turks and Russians but Russia is a better option. or maybe it's time for the three-seas coalition to federate into something big. if Europe gets free, it'll be its eastern half first. western Europe seems condemned to hell until the American empire collapses, though that might follow all of these events.
